PHANGAN ISLAND

For a lot of visitors Full Moon Party is the most interesting of the local attractions on the place. Thousands of party hungry party-goers rush to the island each month just to enjoy the Full Moon. As a tropical paradise in the southern gulf of siam, Ko Pha Ngan is known as a perfect place, where one may go deserted beaches or snorkeling and learning to dive not far from the distinctive island of Ko Ma. Relaxing on quiet uncrowded beaches, snorkeling and taking a course to learn to dive at the characteristic island of Koh Ma, a sheltered National Marine Park.

The Marine Park and Marine Park is composed of more than 40 tiny islands, endowed with natural caves and surrounded by crystal clear water. A huge variety of fishes and some amazing coral reefs offering divers all they need. Other day time activities now include trekking, ATV Off Road and Jungle Treks.

Ko Phangan is a small tropical island, surrounded by gentle sloping coral reefs and green clad mountain range behind the beaches. Kohphangan has many natural beaches and mountains, some only reachable by trekking over jungle paths or hiring a boat. The south eastern part of Kohpangan is the main party area which includes Haad Rin and the fullmoon party beach. Most of the area surrounding HadRin is mountains making most of the excellent fine white sandy beaches unable to reach by road, the only way to get to them is by longtail boat from HadRin. But, as this island has so much more to show the interested visitor than only a crazy never ending party island, Phangan has a quieter area, offering the private atmosphere of a bungalow resort with long walks, cooking courses and many other options.
